Checking in and out of a job
How carers check in at the start of a visit and check out when they leave.
Check-in and check-out give coordinators real-time visibility of service delivery and create an accurate time record for billing and compliance.
Checking in
Open the job in the Teiro app and tap "Check In". The app records the time and your GPS location. If you're checking in outside the job's scheduled start window, you'll be prompted to add a note explaining the reason.
Checking out
When the visit is complete, tap "Check Out". Add any shift notes — observations about the customer's wellbeing, tasks completed, or anything the next carer should know.
Late or missed check-ins
If a carer hasn't checked in within 15 minutes of a job's start time, the coordinator receives an alert. This helps catch no-shows before they become a welfare concern.
Check-in without mobile data
The app works offline. Check-ins are stored locally and synced when the device reconnects to the internet.
