Using the assignment panel

How the smart assignment panel works, what ELIGIBLE and MISSING QUALIFICATIONS mean, and how to assign a worker with an override.

What is the assignment panel

The assignment panel opens when you assign or reassign a worker to a job. It shows you which workers are available for the job's time slot and whether each one meets the qualification requirements for that service type.

ELIGIBLE vs MISSING QUALIFICATIONS

Workers in the panel are split into two groups:

ELIGIBLE — the worker is available at the required time and holds all certifications required for this service type. These workers are safe to assign without any further action.

MISSING QUALIFICATIONS — the worker is available at the required time but is missing one or more required certifications, or one of their certifications has expired. The specific missing items are listed under the worker's name so you can see exactly what the gap is.

Workers who are unavailable at the required time (leave, other jobs, outside their availability window) are shown separately or filtered out depending on your view settings.

Assigning an eligible worker

Tap or click the worker's name in the ELIGIBLE section and confirm the assignment. The worker is notified via the Teiro app. No further action is needed.

Assigning a worker with missing qualifications

If you need to assign a worker from the MISSING QUALIFICATIONS group — for example, they are completing the certification shortly, or an exemption applies — you can do so with an override.

  1. 1.Tap the worker's name in the MISSING QUALIFICATIONS section
  2. 2.A warning confirms the compliance gap and lists the missing items
  3. 3.Add a note explaining the reason for the override
  4. 4.Confirm the assignment

The assignment proceeds and the override note is recorded in the job's activity feed. The compliance warning remains visible on the job record so auditors can see the gap was consciously managed rather than missed.

Overrides are not a way to hide compliance issues. The warning stays on the record. Use overrides only when there is a legitimate, documented reason.

Refreshing worker eligibility

If you update a worker's certifications while the assignment panel is open, close and reopen the panel to see the updated eligibility status.
