Pause, Renew and Check a Report Rule
Read the status of your report rules, pause or renew them, and use run history to see exactly what was sent and to whom.
Overview
Report rules are listed under Profile, Reports, Report rules. Each row shows the rule's name and status, the sentence that describes it, the report and number of recipients, when it last ran and, for schedules, when it runs next.
Statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | The rule is running. |
| Paused | You paused it. It does nothing until you resume it. |
| Suspended | The rule's owner no longer has access, for example they left or their role changed. The reason is shown on the rule. |
| Expired | The rule reached its 12 months and was not renewed. |
If the last run failed, the row shows a red line with the reason. That is not a status of its own.
What you can do
Use the ... menu on a rule:
- Edit the rule.
- Pause or Resume. Resume is off while a rule is suspended.
- View runs, to open run history.
- Renew for 12 months, shown when a rule is near or past its expiry. Rules show "Expires in N days" in their last 30 days.
- Make me the owner, for admins, on a suspended rule. Teiro checks that you can see everything the report needs.
- Delete. The run history is kept.
Rules run with their owner's permissions and expire after 12 months unless renewed, so a rule never keeps sending after the person who made it has lost access.
Run history
Open a rule and switch to Run history. Newest runs are first. Each shows:
- When it ran and the trigger, for event rules.
- The result: Sent, Partly sent, Failed or Skipped.
- The number of recipients and rows. If the rows could not be counted, it says Rows not counted, not 0.
- A plain sentence about what went wrong, if something did.
Tap a run to see delivery for each recipient: Delivered, Bounced, Failed or Pending.
Limits
10 rules per organisation, and 5 recipients per rule.
