Common questions
Is my file uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is read and checked by your browser and is never sent to Teiro or anyone else. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it will still work.
What does this check?
The format in the Services Australia Support at Home bulk invoice CSV specification (v1.14): the 23 column headers and their order, the core required fields (reference, care recipient, service, date, quantity, price), no quotation marks or commas inside values (per the Services Australia portal guidance), non-negative numeric quantities and prices, hours in quarter hour steps, the delivery date, a valid Service Identifier with a matching unit type, funding source and late submission reason codes, and the 10,000 item limit. It does not check the item, wraparound, loaned item or health professional fields used for equipment and home modifications.
What does it not check?
It cannot see Services Australia records. The portal still checks that each care recipient exists, is approved for the service on that date, and is in your care, and that your organisation is registered for the service. A file that passes here can still have items rejected for those reasons.
Which date format should I use?
Day, month, year with slashes, for example 2/07/2025, as in the Services Australia sample files. Year-month-day (2025-07-02) is also accepted. Opening the file in Excel and saving it can change dates, so check them if you edit the file there.
