Care management in Support at Home: booking it and checking it was done

The short version

Teiro treats care management as an ordinary service, booked and billed like any other. The No care management report lists every Support at Home client who had none in the month you choose.

Book care management

Book it as a normal service for the client. The agreement line it bills against carries one of two Service IDs:

• SERV-0018 for care management.
• SERV-0019 for restorative care management.

Both are clinical supports, so the client's contribution is 0. See Billing Support at Home services in Teiro for how the agreement line and Service ID work.

On the client's Funding tab, the THIS QUARTER card shows Less care management (10%). That is a calculated set-aside of 10% of the quarterly budget. It does not track whether care management happened. The report below does.

On the monthly statement, Care management this month (units) totals the care management units for the month. See Monthly statements for Support at Home clients.

Find clients with no care management

1. 1.Open Reports from the Profile menu.
2. 2.Under Compliance, choose No care management.
3. 3.Set the Month filter. It opens on the current month.
4. 4.Read the list. Each row shows:
   • Participant
   • Last care management, or Never if there has never been one
   • Days since
5. 5.To keep a copy, use Export.

If every client has care management in the month, the report says "Every Support at Home participant has care management in this period."

What the report counts

• Only clients with Support at Home funding.
• Clients marked inactive, deceased or discharged are left out.
• A cancelled care management service does not count.
• The report reads billing lines, so a care management service counts once it has a billing line carrying SERV-0018 or SERV-0019. A service booked without that Service ID does not count.
