Tracking carer qualifications and certifications

Record and monitor qualifications, certificates, and their expiry dates for every carer.

Keeping qualification records up to date is critical for compliance. Teiro stores qualifications against each carer and warns you before they expire.

Adding a qualification

Open the carer's profile and navigate to the Qualifications tab. Click "Add Qualification" and enter the qualification type, issuing body, date obtained, and expiry date. Upload a copy of the certificate as a document.

Common qualifications in care

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check
  • Police Check
  • First Aid and CPR
  • Manual Handling
  • Medication Administration
  • Specific support certifications (e.g. autism, complex care)

Expiry tracking

Teiro monitors expiry dates and, by default, sends alerts at 90 days, 30 days, and 7 days before expiry, plus a final alert on the expiry date itself. Coordinators and the carer themselves both receive notifications.

Admins can customise the 90/30/7-day warning intervals for their organisation under Settings > Notifications > Qualification expiry alerts. The expiry-day alert always fires and is not configurable.

Qualification requirements on jobs

Service types can require specific qualifications. If an assigned carer's qualifications have lapsed or are missing, the job is flagged with a compliance warning.
