The Monthly MAR and CSV Export in Teiro
How to read the monthly medication administration record grid in Teiro, and how to export a month of entries to CSV for review or audit.
Overview
Where the daily view is what a support worker works from during a visit, the monthly MAR is the coordinator's view: every client's medications laid out across the full month in a grid, the shape a reviewer or auditor expects from a medication administration record. This guide covers reading the monthly view and exporting it.
Reading the monthly grid
Open a client's Medications tab and switch to the Monthly view. Each row is a medication, each column a day of the month. Each cell shows the recorded outcome for that medication on that day, or is blank if nothing has been recorded yet for a day that has not occurred.
PRN medications appear in the same grid, showing when doses were actually given rather than a fixed schedule, since a PRN medication has no fixed time to check against.
Exporting to CSV
From the monthly view, use Export to download the month as a CSV file. The export includes a coded status for every entry in the month, formatted for use in a spreadsheet.
What the export is for
The CSV export is intended for offline review, for handing to a pharmacist or auditor who wants the data outside the app, or for an organisation's own record-keeping process. It reflects exactly what is in the monthly view at the time it is generated; it does not include entries made after the export was run.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export a partial month? The export covers the full month currently selected in the monthly view. To review a specific date range within the month, use the on-screen grid rather than the export.
Does the export open correctly in Excel? Yes, the CSV is generated with the encoding Excel expects so client and medication names with special characters display correctly.
Can a support worker access the monthly view or export? Access to the monthly MAR and export follows your organisation's role permissions. In most organisations this sits with coordinator and admin-level roles rather than every carer role, though this depends on how your organisation has configured access.
