What this recording shows

This is a roughly one minute screen recording of an aged care provider claiming Support at Home services in Teiro, the care management platform used by Australian NDIS and aged care providers. Support at Home is the Australian Government's in-home aged care program. Providers claim for the services they deliver from Services Australia, and Teiro prepares the claim file for that step. It was recorded on a desktop browser, on the real product, using a demonstration organisation and a made-up client.

Open the run you want to claim

A billing run in Teiro collects the completed services for a period and turns each one into a claim line. In Billing, the admin opens the run, here four services for one client totalling $490.00, then opens the By Recipient tab.

The claim is its own group

On By Recipient, Support at Home lines sit in their own group, labelled Services Australia (Support at Home). Draft all builds the claim file. Opening the group lists each recipient and shows a note that the lines will be exported to a Services Australia bulk invoice CSV for upload to the Aged Care Provider Portal.

Download the claim file

The three-dot menu on the group has two actions. Download Services Australia claim file saves the CSV to the computer. Teiro does not lodge the claim for you. The provider uploads the file in the Aged Care Provider Portal, the Services Australia portal for aged care providers, using Create invoices and CSV import.

Mark the claim submitted

Once the file is uploaded, the same menu has Mark Services Australia claim submitted. Teiro asks for confirmation first, and the dialog explains that the Support at Home lines in the run will be marked as submitted and that this should be done after the claim file has been uploaded to Services Australia. After Confirm, the group shows a Submitted badge.

Import the payment statement

When Services Australia sends the Support at Home payment statement, the admin opens the Reconciliation tab in Billing and chooses Import payment report. The import sheet offers two report types. Choosing Support at Home payment statement tells Teiro to read the file as a Services Australia payment statement, then the admin uploads the CSV and imports it. Teiro records the paid amounts and any confirmed client contributions against the claim lines.
